Twelve children were rushed to hospital this week after an apparent electrical fault at a popular British Columbia waterpark sent a low-voltage current through a wading pool.

Witnesses described a sudden shock that left several kids unable to stand. Paramedics treated patients on site before transporting them. All are expected to recover.

WorkSafeBC and the regional health authority have opened a joint investigation focused on grounding, recent electrical work, and the park's seasonal inspection records.
